At a DUI DOG Rally & Demo Days everyone has a great time. SCUBA divers love to test dive our DUI Drysuits, DiveWear, BCS - Buoyancy Compensators, Weight & Trim Systems and lots more. Check out these photos of divers looking fabulous in their drysuits, enjoying lunch and just hanging out.
Friday
Frigid winds and driving rain were a distant memory as the DUI Crew set up under a cloudless, sunny morning. Richard from Windy Point Park took a well deserved break from his riding lawn mower to greet us for this our first ever Austin, Texas DOG Rally & Demo Day. Vacant campsites stretched down the gently sloping (freshly cut) grassy hill all the way to the end of the point.
DUI DOG Truck Driver – Dick Long, had delivered our 26,000 lbs of rolling weekend fun (just add water, and some experienced local dive guides). We took full advantage of the daylight hours to attend to some much needed basic maintenance, plus the usual equipment preparations…that’s right, the ever popular turning suits and waxing zippers! It seemed that all of our scheduling worries were for naught, as the lake level rose about 23 ft. since January. Jared (Lake Air SCUBA) & Karl (Oceanic Ventures) were already on-site finishing up a few dives. Big thanks to you both for all your help getting the tents up.
Our efforts at lakeside came to an end at about 5PM, when we headed out to shop for enough food to feed 150 of our closest diving buddies.
