At a DUI DOG Rally & Demo Days everyone has a great time. SCUBA divers love to test dive our DUI Drysuits, DiveWear, BCS - Buoyancy Compensators, Weight & Trim Systems and lots more. Check out these photos of divers looking fabulous in their drysuits, enjoying lunch and just hanging out.
Friday
About 25 divers from Public Safety Teams from all over the region attended the workshop. Once again, everyone was happy to see several “Box of Joe” containers from Dunkin’ Donuts to get their morning caffeine. People are pretty serious about Dunkin’ Donuts around here. TLS 350’s, CF 200’s and RS 1050 suits were the order of the day, as the teams experienced first hand the comfort and “swim-ability” of a DUI.
Subsalve and DAN joined us for this PSD event, and the crowd was suitably impressed with the latest information from these industry leaders as to how each lends assistance and safety during team operations. Scott & Christine (DAN) highlighted the thorough new one-stop course, “Diving First Aid for Professional Divers”, and Erik (Subsalve) brought out the big guns to demo the VRS-2000 Vehicle Recovery System.
The “Vermont Gang” managed to catch up with us at Capt. Carlos Restaurant for a great dinner. Pete (formerly of Vermont) definitely won the prize for “Farthest Traveled to Volunteer at a DOG Rally”; he flew in from Michigan just for this event.
