Dave's DOG Blog
Sunday

Things got rolling at the usual 7:30AM, only without the cold rain and clouds of Saturday. Perfect conditions lasted the entire day. In keeping with the norm for the area, the great weather seemed to bring out the fun-seeking active locals. Divers and crew were especially playful today, as is probably evident in the pictures.

It seems that our WAG at the food numbers was pretty darn accurate, and the BBQ area was kept hopping a little later than usual, until 2:30PM.

The breakdown went extremely quickly with all of the now experienced Demo Day veteran crew! Of course we’ve had 2 days worth of truck loading experience under our belts as well. The only casualty of the day was Faith, who managed to find and step into the only pothole in the park. Thankfully it seems that she only twisted her ankle enough for some decent swelling. A few ice packs and elevation seemed to address the issue through dinner. John (Adirondack SCUBA) and Jonathan (Waterfront Diving) regaled us with stories of amazing local wrecks (some of the oldest in the nation) as we took over a local downtown Brew Pub. Al Morris decided that between his arm sling and Faith limping, we were certain to attract a lot of attention. Why he’s worried about it, I have not idea. It seems that wounded or not, a gaggle of DUI logo emblazoned SCUBA divers is certain to get noticed by envious non-divers everywhere we go!

Given her immobile status, we opted to join Faith in her luxurious suite, watching the Pats/Chargers game while we worked through a few of the usual on-the-road email difficulties. Oren and I had a pretty early flight, so staying up late wasn’t part of the plan.  Blog drysuit notes
