4AM alarm, and I think I hit the “Late” button only once, but somehow it was 4:30AM as I hurriedly threw 3 large bags into the car. 2 large DUI gear bags loaded with Demo Days paperwork, crew shirts, PSD packages, new demo suits, DUI logo apparel, and PSD manuals, weighed in at 35 lbs. each, plus one travel scared Samsonite roller bag (which seems to spend it’s time in repair between Demo events) Note to self: investigate other alternatives to Samsonite…they just don’t handle the trials of modern air travel.
Susan (DUI President) was ready and waiting at her front door as I pulled up…after a quick good-bye to Coco Marie (her rescued dog and my office companion at lunch everyday) we were on our way. Our timing couldn’t have been better, clearing security and walking right on to the plane. Quincy Morris (DUI International Sales) greeted us at the plane as we boarded the first leg of the trip into Dallas. Arriving in Hartford, CT the weather was an amazing 92F. While Quincy loaded the rental mini-van, Susan and I handled the paperwork. Following check-in at the fabulous Comfort Inn and a quick dinner, exhausted heads hit the pillows at 9PM.
